A writer never knows who is going to read his book but a writer in the genre of fiction should know that the story he wants to tell may be best received by open-minded and intelligent people who like reading and want to imagine, understand, dream and be led into places no one has ever visited before. The individuality of a writer is shown both in the choice of the lexical, syntactical and stylistic means and in their treatment. It is really remarkable how the author can make us feel the way he wants us to feel. The individual style of the writer (that is, the unique combination of the language units, expressive means and stylistic devices peculiar to him, which makes his works easily recognizable) has a nominal character. The deliberate choice of the language and the ways the chosen elements are treated are the main distinctive features of the individual style.
