Shelley is one of the famous English romantic poets, whose poetry reflects passion, beauty, imagination, love, creativity, political liberty and nature. Being very sensitive and possessing distinctive qualities of hope, love, joy and imagination, Shelley strongly believed in realization of human happiness. The pathos of Shelly’s creative work is sublime idealism. Borrowing the building material from both Plato and the materialists-enlighteners, Shelley built his own system, which remained unfinished, but the main thing in it is the thought of inspiration. Shelley develops a belief coming from Russ and accepted by many romantics, according to which the main misfortune of mankind in its development is mechanical civilization. But the poet does not call back to nature and forgiveness, he expresses faith in the future rebirth. Shelley’s views largely coincide with the ideas of the Enlightenment. The syntactic structure of Shelley’s works also becomes simpler and clearer: from the complex periods saturated with many subordinating associations, the poet passes to clear laconic speech.
